Highlights include classic rock radio fodder like the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin" and Simon & Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence," as well as lesser known gems from the Move ("Flowers in the Rain"), Pentangle ("Light Flight"), and Honeybus ("I Can't Let Maggie Go"). ~ James Christopher Monger.

This 3 CD set contains music from the period of It is neither comprehensive (no Animals or Dave Clark Five) nor definitive (many unknown acts are included). But it does include many of the best known hits of the period from artists of which you may only want a few songs. In that way it could fill a few gaps in your collection.

UK four CD set. Across sparkling tracks, Dreamboats & Petticoats – The Golden Years is a dazzling celebration of the heyday of swinging rock ’n’ roll, pop and Merseybeat, a journey through a golden age of innocence and a lifetime of memories.

"I Can't Let Maggie Go" is horribly mangled by a splashy, trebly brittle sound. I did manage to equalize it out, but it almost ruined the CD for me, and is unforgivable in this day and age. Fortunately there is a cure - just buy the CD "Burning Love 2", and this has a better production of this song, plus "I'm A Gambler" by Lace, also by Pete Dello/5(5).
