Since the release of their debut long player 'You Dig The Tunnel, I'll Hide The Soil' in , Hatcham Social have never been a band to fall neatly into a scene or formula. From lo-fi bedroom pop cassettes, to post-punk shards and poetry, short films, girl-boy rock 'n' roll, and drug fueled dark folk tinged psychedelia they have constantly.

Hatcham Social release 'Crocodile' which the second single from their debut album 'You Dig The Tunnel I'll Hide The Soil' which was produced by Tim Burgess. The track as ever is a well written pop song but am surprised it's been released as a single, as it isn't a stand out track for me.

Hatcham Social's debut album You Dig The Tunnel, I'll Hide The Soil was influenced by Alice's adventures, which references aspects in the songs such as tunnels, the scene of Alice changing in size and almost drowning in tears, anthropomorphic animals, passing through mirrors and the track Jabberwocky is a spoken word reading of Carroll's poem.
